Yes, I have to agree - as odd or strange as this may sound - SA rates up there; as one of the best (actually the best) where road trip destinations are concerned and just to put this into context, I have road tripped across America (from the East Coast to the West Coast, up on the West Coast and then back East. I similarly have done Europe, Asia (Japan and China) as well as others. And to be fair, the Garden Route is the best of the lot. Because of that, it is the only route I have done more than twice (right in our own backyard). Even the road trip to the scenic Eastern Cape, from Gauteng, with all it’s bucolic views, has been among the best in my life. Way to go, SA!
