 There are some fun looking new movies out. Top of my list is The Roses (Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman!!)

For the horror fiends, Togetheris a creepy body horror featuring real-life couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie, while Weapons is a slick, sinister fairy tale.

:video_game: For the gamers, Mafia: The Old Country is “short, brutal and unforgettable”

The highly-anticipated Silksong is also out. Fans were so excited that platforms buckled under the pressure.

Oh yes i definitely plan to spend the weekend wondering why Silksong is so difficult when you haven’t found the mobility abilities (mobabilities?) yet. But it has definitely been a magical experience so far (who am i kidding, I am stuck on the first non-tutorial boss).

Then on Sunday eve a close friend is playing Cello with a gothic folk songwriter.

:performing_arts: On the stage, Asanda Ruda (this year’s Standard Bank Young Artist for Dance) is performing at Jomba!, an annual dance festival in Durban.

Noises Off, the 1982 Michael Frayn comedy, has just opened at Theatre on the Bay in Cape Town, and runs until 14 September before moving to Montecasino in Johannesburg in October.

:framed_picture: In the art scene, there is a wide collection of exhibitions to browse in Jozi. Here’s a list.

:rugby_football: And, of course, the Springboks face New Zealand tomorrow:
