We’re into the second week of November. Can I put out the Christmas tree yet? As the kids have gotten older, interest has waned. I think our tree went up two days before Xmas last year and then hung around looking forlorn until February….

I usually wait till beginning of December! November feels a bit early but these days the shops are full of Christmas decorations by October, so I may not be the norm.
I was shocked to see Christmas decor up for sale in September already this year 
@Neesa it is NEVER too early to put up a Christmas tree. Do it!! I’m counting down the days to December 1 when Ireland’s charity Christmas radio station goes live. 24 hour a day Christmas tunes streamed (all to raise funds for the homeless). My SA husband has just had to accept that this is part of what it means to have married an Irish woman.

Omg…it can’t be worse than working in retail over December and listening to the same Christmas CDs played on repeat for days on end - I maintain this is the only reason why I know the Spice Girls lyrics!

Lets wait till the 1st December, that’s when we buy Christmas mince pies, pour a glass of sherry and put up our sparkling Christmas tree! It just feels so right…
