South Africa's best small towns

MMMMM any insiders interested in buying a bar where thirsty Mavericks can gather and tell stories about how we do stories about the good, the bad and the truly dirty rotten?

Everyone in Richmond said that the municipality is the one shortfall of the town. They said that they do everything themselves shame

Most of the people I spoke to in JBay think the municipality does fairly well. There are still some potholes but you can see the work being done in quite a few places. I think it’s a bit of a balance between the lifestyle, the people, the municipality and factors like schools and healthcare.

Bye guys!!

Cheers!

Bye everyone!

In the Western Cape, of the five finalists poor Calitzdorp has the dodgiest municipality: Kannaland. One of my first stories as a baby journalist was a dodgy Kannaland mayor using his “mayoral discretionary fund” rather indiscretely

What was your highlight/s from Mpumalanga?

Hi Alet, White River (second best mark) due to the nature, infrastructure and low crime rate.
