When you arrive, follow the signs up the stairs or use the lift on the right.

This is Beauty, she is the barista stationed at the speaker lounge who was kind enough to offer her first coffee of the day.

The Binance team is offering coffee and these breakfast mocktails, which is going in the Gathering refreshment hall of fame for me.

why is water in plastic bottles, is cape town tap water not drinkable?

Hi Guy, we have water available in glass bottles to purchase, and water coolers with paper cups. So sorry if you were sold a plastic bottle, that has been fixed :droplet:

Chatted to The Gathering host @Rebecca_Davis backstage. She says her favourite part of today so far is seeing speakers in a more “unguarded mode”.

I noticed the signs in the CTICC saying that the tap water is from a borehole: likely to be somewhat saline amongst other factors given the location.

The Politically Aweh team was also at The Gathering yesterday. Look forward to some of their cheeky coverage.

I really enjoyed the last panel of the day (Journalism as a Change Maker: Micah Reddy, @PLM and @Estelle- ). All the panelists were engaging, informative and a credit to Daily Maverick!

The panel with Schreiber, Kiswetter and Rabaji-Rasethaba restored my faith in SA… and highlighted something for me - all three of these people are qualified, capable, experienced and committed. None of these three people were appointed for who they know.
