Salutes, Saffas! I’m on a brief stopover in Istanbul on the way home to Durban. I’m trying to read the news back home but it seems all of the DM articles linking from the First Thing are not available. I know that Turkey has been under internet restrictions in the past, but why the DM? Aside from a solid reputation for authoritarian busting journalism 
So for several years we’ve had to block several countries due to sustained attempts at hacking us coming from them. Turkey, Russia (naturally) and Bulgaria are done off them.
When traveling Istanbul myself I had to use a VPN to even SEND daily maverick. Is recommend that. Tunnel Bear usually works and is free for 500gb. Sorry about that, but hope the food is making up for it!
