STROVE pays you back again and again

Full disclosure: I work for Daily Maverick, but I was a big Strove fan long before I started here. And OK, I am susceptible to a bit of gamification (I am what one might call a Discovery “power user”) but getting the max out of Strove is miles and miles easier than Discovery. Seriously you only need to show up, take a walk, stretch for 10 minutes, meditate for 5… to earn points that can be redeemed for generous discounts and vouchers at a truly wild list of brands and stores.

I am currently sitting on thousands of points that I can exchange and I’m actually somewhat overwhelmed by the choices… where shall I spend? Garmin (15% off!!), Poetry, Runna, Pick n Pay, Sportsmans, DisChem, Incredible Connection… the options are endless.

Do not sleep on this benefit - you can more than pay back your Maverick Insider subscription every month with points (not that that should be a driving motivation, of course…)

Anyone have similar feelings about Strove? See you on the leaderboards!

I was just thinking about this today. Kudos for acculating thousands of points. I use mine to subsidise my lunches when I travel to CT

After a few months of being holed up in my apartment with academics, I am excited to get back outside and back on Strove. I should start accumulating my points. I have been using them to periodically buy trees to plant through Ecologi to make up for the flights I have taken this year. (I’m not sure if this actually makes a difference, but I hope it does and it makes me feel better).

Nice - I’ve just noticed my points (as a result of reading your post) sitting there and what they can get me. Now, the big decision as to what to use them for! My only gripe - I have to manually remind it to get my data from Samsung Health. Everything else (Garmin, Strava) work fine. Maybe it is Samsung being overly precious …
