After over 34 years of dedicated service, Walmer High School principal Lunga Dyani has retired after raising matric pass rate to well above 90%.

“I knew our learners could do better. They just needed someone who believed in them and who held them to a higher standard,” he said.

Dyani is proof that a good teacher can make all the difference in someone’s life. Who were the teachers who inspired and believed in you?

What an incredible man-there are so many teachers and principals who go over and beyond the call of duty to ensure their students have a chance of a better future.
