I would like to connect with a journalist about the water pollution issue of Camp’s Bay, Clifton and Bakoven. Following a swim at Bakoven, I contracted Shigella and e.Coli causing severe dysentery and I was in hospital for 5 days. I would like to share my story, especially as I was due to swim in a charity event for the Turtle Rescue Foundation (Two Oceans Aquarium), a 11km swim from Robben Island to Granger Bay, which I missed because I was in an isolation ward in hospital.
