It’s been a tense start to play at Lord’s on day three in the World Test Championship final between South Africa and Australia. It’s a day where history could be written for the Proteas but they will need something special from the batters, but first, they need to take the final wicket with Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon steadfast at the crease at the moment.
The coffee at Lord’s is up there with it’s lunches. I’ve gone through every type of coffee on offer across the last five days. Today, it’s an iced latte.
The famous Lord’s lunch. On today’s menu: fish, potatoes and some veg. Proteas batters will be hoping there’s runs on the menu too as they chase 282 to runs to win the World Test Championship final.
Surely not better than fish and chips at Newlands @KeananHemmonsbey
@AletTest It’s a close second!
It’s tea time at Lord’s. Is there anything more British than scones at tea? I’m not sure there is. They still haven’t managed to spell my name right on my coffee cup but the way play is panning out so far on day three, there’s a good chance there will be another day to get it right tomorrow.
The greatest hits are being sung at Lord’s. In the final session,
“Ohhhh Temba Bavuma, ohhhh Temba Bavuma” Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi and Shosholoza have been going on a loop in the Edrich Lower stand.
Tomorrow is going to be a massive day!
How was the atmosphere there yesterday, Keanan? Must have been electric and joyful to be present.
It was extremely tense… until it wasn’t. Such an incredible match to witness live.
