This week, I saw a few references to the animal kingdom in describing journalism and the work we do. @Thammenator told us to make like the capybara, remaining calm and fearless in the face of adversity. At their NMB launch, @Estelle and @AngelaDaniels evoked the ‘mosquito-lion’: “They’re fearless. Tireless. And a relentless nuisance to those who’ve grown comfortable ignoring the people they’re supposed to serve.”
